Larry King’s film Adirondack Adventures

There will be a showing of Larry King’s classic film Adirondack Adventures at Pine Lake Lodge on June 8, 2018 at 7:30pm. Larry King will narrate this 65 minute 16 mm silent film of outings in the Adirondacks. The film comprises timeless outings from the late 1950’s through the 1960’s.

The “forever wild” protection of our State Forest Preserve is always under attack by those who would like to open it up to activities which destroy or diminish its wild forest character. The purpose of this film is to promote public awareness of the non-destructive uses of the Forest Preserve. The film features such uses as hiking, wild flower photography, canoeing, cross-country skiing, and snow-shoeing.

Forewarning: A current Caroga Town Council Member makes a brief and embarrassing appearance in the film at Potholers, below Powley Place.
