Sherman’s Advisory Committee

The Town Board passed Resolution #2016-026 on February 10, 2016 to convene the the “Sherman’s Advisory Committee”. This committee was tasked with soliciting proposals from the public for the development of Sherman’s. The committee comprised:

Beth Morris — Caroga Town Board Member
Jeremy Manning — Caroga Town Board Member
Kent Kirch, chairman — Retired from an international accounting firm
Lynne Delesky — Caroga Planning Board Member
Jim Blaise — Caroga Business Owner
Richard Ruberti — Wheelerville Superintendent
John Saunders — Caroga Financial Professional
James Long — Caroga Environmental Leader
Ron Peters — Fulton County Center for Regional Growth
Gina Dabiere-Gibbs — Fulton County Department of Tourism
Wally Hart — Mohawk Valley Regional Economic Council

The Committee reached out to several developers, real estate companies, etc. All but two withdrew after review of the legal and technical issues surrounding the Sherman’s property. The Sherman's Advisory Committee voted unanimously to recommend the Caroga Arts Collective, Inc. proposal.
