From the Town Board
To enhance communications with residents, the Town Board will distribute this newsletter with the “headlines” from the board meetings.
The new board continues to address annual formalities such as appointments to open positions and approving budgeted expenditures. These kinds of items made up most of the resolutions passed at this meeting.
Building Permits – Approved increased permit fees to fund a part-time blight position.
Workforce Violence Coordinator – Appointed James Long to the position.
Town Hall Generator – To revise, tighten bid specifications and solicit new bids.
Humane Society – Approved annual budgeted payment of $2,100.
Employee Assistance Program – Approved $180 annual fee to cover all employees.
Fulton County Planning Dept – To accept services from Fulton County Planning Department – up to 10 hours at zero cost.
Planning Board – Appointed Fred Franko to a 7 year term.
Planning Board – Appointed Rick Gilmore to a 6 year term.
Planning Board – Appointed Kim Hart to a 2 year term.
Planning Board – Appointed Al Kozakiewicz as the planning board chairman.
Cold War Credit – Approved action to make revisions to this local law regarding real estate tax credits for veterans to eliminate the expiration date and make it perpetual.
Transfer Station Permits – Approved $5 permit fee increase to cover county fees.
Proposal from the Fulton Montgomery Farmers Market Assoc. for a Farmers Market.
Replacement of the furnace for the town highway department garage – reviewed bids.
New covered ramp/entrance to medical center – to revise specs and solicit new bids.
New structure to store sand and salt – confirmed next steps to move forward.
Correspondence from the Caroga Arts Collective regarding use of Sherman’s in 2018.
