Highlights of the December 19^th, 2018 Town Board Meeting

To enhance communications with residents, the Town Board will distribute this newsletter with the “headlines” from the board meetings. Detailed meeting minutes will be posted on the Town website.

This was an end of the year work session for the Town Board, primarily to approve end of the year payments that must be made. The meeting lasted only 15 minutes.

Resolutions/Local Laws Passed:

Account Transfers – Approved a number of routine fund transfers between accounts to bring the budget into balance for the end of the year.
Bereavement Pay – Approved 5 days of bereavement pay (same as the Highway Department contract) for Don Travis, due to the recent passing of his father.
Electronic Death Register – Authorized the Supervisor to sign a New York State Heath Department document that authorizes the registrar to be given security access and a pin number for the new state electronic death reporting system.
Zoning Board of Appeals – Appointed John Byrnes to a 5 year term on the Zoning Board of Appeals starting January 1, 2019.

Monthly Town Board Meeting, Wednesday, January 9^th at 7PM at town hall.

Reminders:

Street Lights - Please report street lights that are not working properly to the Town Clerk’s office (518) 835-4211 Ext. 21. Please provide the pole number and closest intersection or house number to the effected light.
Snow Removal - Plowing or depositing snow on or across a road is against the law and is hazardous to drivers.
