I received a call from Brian Macintosh who as I understand it represents the Caroga Vol. Fire Department. Mr. Macintosh questioned the status of the Section 239-M review of the Site Plan that was forwarded by yourself to the County Planning Board on March 6, 2020. I informed Mr. Macintosh that due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the County Planning Board was not able to meet for the March 17, 2020 regularly scheduled meeting date. As you and I had discussed, the County Planning Board has 30 days from the date of application to meet and provide a recommendation to the Town Planning Board. Given that they County Planning Board did not meet on March 17, 2020 and at this time does not have a makeup meeting scheduled, I believe that it is safe to say that the 30 day timeframe to provide a recommendation will not be met. If there are no concerns by the Town Planning Board on the application, I suggest that the Town not delay and move forward on issuing the appropriate building permit to the Volunteer Fire Company.

Attached is the Town of Caroga Planning Board application for section 239-m review for P2020-01 Caroga Lake Volunteer Fire Company. This is a sister project to the P2019-04 Primax project that Fulton County Planning reviewed recently.

When you and I spoke by phone recently you kindly allowed that Fulton County Planning could pull the electronic files off our website as needed in lieu of my bundling those files and attaching them to an email.
