Virtual meetings per Executive Orders 202.1 and 202.15.
“Zoom waiting rooms” are not allowed under Open Meetings Law. This area of law along with the Executive Orders is helpfully discussed in a Webinar held by the New York State Department of State in early 2020 and made available as a YouTube video.
A New York State Department of State Committee on Open Government attorney, in OML AO#5633, concludes electronic meetings are required whenever safety of the public may be at issue.
All attendees may join these meetings via any computer or smartphone with internet access at https://global.gotomeeting.com/join/870205333. Attendees will be able to hear and be heard more clearly if they are able to join the meeting via the above web link. Attendees may also join meetings by dialing (toll free) 1(866)899-4679 or (long distance) 1(571)317-3117 and then entering access code 870205333 followed by the "#" key. Attendees joining by dialing in will not be heard or hear as clearly as when they join via the web link.
